Kaleidoscope
I caught this track climbing the Trance Top 10 chart on Beatport several days ago. Aside from that, Kaleidoscope offers uplifting and atmospheric progressive trance and house melodies from Paul Keeley. The sound of this track is quite familiar, come to think of it, because Kaleidoscope resembles Paul's music style on his 2007 artist album, "Blunt Etiquette". Dreamy and easy-going, Kaleidoscope initiates the whole release.
Flyby
My personal pick from this release. Flyby is much more atmospheric than Kaleidoscope, and can be loosely compared to his 2008 Anjunadeep release, "Paper Jet". In terms of its composition, I like how the blunt bass, the blow-like samples, and of course, the steady, and emotive piano samples were all brought together. Soaring high for this release, this is Paul Keeley's Flyby.
The Careful Void
This is something new from the man. Unlike the two previous tracks, The Careful Void has lower-sounding melodies. Moreover, with new-sounding percussions, blunt basslines, subtle filtered vocals, and trance atmosphere pads, The Careful Void is one magnificent and flawless track from the one and only Paul Keeley.
With the Kaleidoscope EP, Paul Keeley shows us his incredible music-versatility in both his taste and in his production.
