Today, we check out Bay Trip EP-- a splendid collection of four tropical-inspired deep house tunes from Greek producer, Ilias Katelanos! For those who still can recall, we first stumbled upon the sounds of Mr. Katelanos when we-- together with the other remixes-- reviewed his rendition of "Summer", the proud release of Ricky Inch and Jance (Janar Malmström). Bay Trip (Original Mix)
Just like the other three tracks, Bay Trip, the original mix, caters lush and soothing atmosphere. Heavily flanged chords and a bustling line-up of percussions are also in this one. The chill side of Ilias Katelanos definitely is manifested in Bay Trip.
Manao Soda (Original Mix)
Getting a little groovier and deeper, Manao Soda takes on the second spot the the release!
Backstreets (Original Mix)
Backstreets signals the depart from the atmospheric takes of Ilias Katelanos to a more funky and body-moving sound of his. Groovy, fresh, and vibrant-- Backstreets truly is a masterpiece from the one and only Ilias Katelanos!
Bay Trip (G. Theofanidis Remix)
The last track of the release is a remix from fellow-Greek producer, George Theofanidis! With little twists and turns, George was able to come up with an excellent minimal-chill version of "Bay Trip"!
