Rares Finatan- In Spite of Nothing (Original Mix)

Sunday, February 27, 2011

Bomba Records' new kid on the block, Rares Finatan really made jaws drop as he debuted on the label with his enchanting and uplifting  tune, "In Spite of Nothing".

It was one blissful Monday morning when our inbox received a promotional mail hailing all the way from Russia. As we opened it, the mail contained information about the artist and a corresponding download link for press-purposes. We downloaded it and played it. As the first few seconds of "In Spite of Nothing" went by, nothing could really describe the blissful uplifting feeling the tune had brought about to us. Its high-flying arps combined with its very fragile and melodic samples really made things very emotional.

As the track had slowly drawn to an end, a mind-levitating feeling still remained, and it was akin to a feeling of flying above the clouds while overseeing the blue ocean. . .

Rares Finatan's "In Spite of Nothing" is the latest release on Bomba Records. Yearn for that unadulterated uplifting progressive feeling no more-- go grab a copy today!

Up Cent feat. Jane Maximova- She Will Always Be There

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Bomba’s beloved Sergey Up Cent marks his return on the label with “She Will Always Be There”— the wonderful progressive vocal track which features the vocals of Jane Maximova! Also, fellow progressive house producers DJ Pasha Shock, Fon Leman, and Misha ZAM leave their mark on the release with their respective remixes of “She Will Always Be There”.

Opening the package with easy-going grooves, nostalgic piano melodies, and mellow vocals, the original mix is indeed the first of many magnificent vocal tracks from Russian producer, Sergey Up Cent! Not only that. “She Will Always Be There” is also considered as the forerunner of vocal progressive house tracks on Bomba Records.

DJ Pasha Shock kicks-off with a smashing rendition of “She Will Always Be There” as one of the highly-anticipated remixes of this release. Aside from that, Fon Leman hands-over a club-oriented version of the track, while Misha ZAM—on the flipside— with a more captivating reinterpretation of the release!

She Will Always Be There”, with its brilliant remixes, is another proud release of Bomba Records. Show some love, and support these tunes today!

Adam Epps- Evora/ Come Back EP

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

I really appreciate music that are simple in composition, yet, albeit their simplicity, these tunes hit the spot.

As he made his debut last February on Bombra Records, Chelyabinsk-grown producer, Adam Epps, takes the initiative to make Russian progressive more world-renown with his "Evora/ Come Back" EP.

Evora
With sharp and saturated melodies, Epps brings together a simple-sounding, yet upbeat track straight from Russian soil. Definitely one of the tunes I would play on one sunny day!

Come Back
As he retains the glowing energy of the track, Epps gives more emphasis on his razor-edged chords. By the way, people who like stable or steady tunes would indulge themselves in this track.

We have heard it before and it has been reaffirmed once again by Adam Epps: Bomba Records brings only the best and the most authentic from homegrown Russian progressive artists.

Jameel- Silk Way (Original Mix)

Thursday, April 1, 2010

Bomba Records distinguishes themselves as the record label dedicated to bringing out only the finest and the most authentic Russian progressive music from both new faces and veterans in the scene. Likewise, starting my series of reviews on the label, here's a smooth-sailing and tranquil piece from Artur Yakupov, who is starting to make a buzz with his guise, "Jameel".

As mentioned earlier, "Silk Way" caters unadulterated progressive house sound from the North. With its subtle power riff melodies, the track sends a sedative rush through the listener's system. Moreover, Artur adds a touch of thick-sounding basslines that can simply make you close your eyes and rejuvenate.

This release is quite interesting. You can really feel the authenticity of progressive house music in this track albeit it having a simple and clean-cut musical arrangement.

Jameel's "Silk Way" will be released April of 2010 under Bomba Records, so be sure to mark down your calendars!
