Thomas Feijk & Richard Davison- Buzz Kill (REMIXES)

Monday, May 30, 2011

Buzz Kill”-- the track by Thomas Feijk and Richard Davison that set ablaze the path of Macarize’s new beginnings-- is now back on the label with three brand remixes from David Folkebrant, EDU, and Hazem Beltagui! Macarize knew that a solo anthem needed some stunning remixes to accompany it, so here it is, “Buzz Kill: the Remixes”!

We first heard David Folkebrant’s sound on the label with his “Rising EP”, the third installment on the label that received great feedback for its novel sound and superb production. Now, we have David once again on Macarize turning the thundering anthem “Buzz Kill” into one upbeat piano-led track!

Eldar Abdulajev aka. EDU, although not a new name in the industry, is a new addition to Macarize, and he has sent-in his reinterpretation of “Buzz Kill” as the second in this release. The EDU remix of “Buzz Kill”caters electrifying and sharp riffs as well as tech-like bass-- an ideal alternative to the original!

Still fresh from his recent debut release on Macarize, Paris-based Egyptian producer, Hazem Beltagui makes a surprise appearance on “Buzz Kill: the Remixes” with another stunning chill out version of “Buzz Kill”! A dreamy and smooth-flowing version bringing to a close this energy-packed release-- all is perfect.

Three brand new remixes at your disposal-- this is “Buzz Kill: the Remixes”!

To be released in a few hours!

[Insider's Review] Adam Zahran- Revolver

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Hailing all the way from Alexandria, Egypt, Adham Zahran debuts on the French deep house music label, Brown Eyed Boyz Records with "Revolver"! Deep Space Orchestra, a music project by Scotland-based producers Si Murray and Chris Barker, also appears on the release with a brilliant remix for "Revolver". As the second insider's review on Soundscapes, we got in touch with Adham Zahran himself to spill some insights regarding his latest release on BEBR.

The last time we had Adham here on Soundscapes was during the release of "Purple Sunday", the highly-acclaimed deep and soothing collaboration track with his brother, Zahran. Listeners who supported that release wanted  more, but what they did not know is that Adham here has been working on something delightful as a suitable follow-up to the release. When asked what his inspiration to "Revolver", he simply said, "Well, nothing specific really, just a late night Monday vibe." So the next release from Adham would probably be patterned after a hazy Tuesday afternoon-- well, that we still do not know for now.

For Adham, "Revolver" is something soulful, deep, and soothing. Well, of course, if you have been following Adham's releases lately, you would notice that he is slowly building up an arsenal of soothing grooves and deep vibes. Aside from that, he finds "Revolver" as a very exciting release as a producer because first, this is his first release on the prestigious France-based deep house label, Brown Eyed Boyz Records, and second, his original track fell onto the hands of Deep Space Orchestra for remix duties. As expected, the remix by DSO brought to shore a deeper reinterpretation on Adham's track!

"Revolver", with the Deep Space Orchestra remix, is now exclusively available on Beatport. It will hit the other record stores worldwide starting June 1 of this year! If you enjoyed the release and this insider's review, please support Adham's latest release right here right now!

Adham & Hisham Zahran- Triplets: the REMIXES

Friday, March 4, 2011

Adham & Hisham Zahran released “Purple Sunday / Triplets” a couple of weeks ago under Acryl Music. The release was so highly-acclaimed that it garnered a remix package for the track “Triplets” dubbed as “Triplets: the Remixes”! Stepping in for this special release on Acryl Music are Alvaro Hylander, Big Al, and Christoph Kardek!

Triplets (Alvaro Hylander Remix)
A simple yet dance-worthy remix we have from Alvaro Hylander. Just like his other wonderful deep house productions, the Alvaro Hylander remix of Triplets is head-nodding, steady, and fresh! Road-test this tune in your gigs, or groove to it on your own— either way, you can never go wrong with it!

Triplets (Big Al Remix)
For the second remix, we have something infectious from Big Al! His remix caters catchy distorted leads that loop to a very chill climax while being accompanied by walking basslines, strong grooves, and warm atmospheric pads. If you’re looking for something dance-able while it retaining the original essence of Triplets”, then you just found the right remix!

Triplets (Christoph Kardek Remix)
Christoph Kardek leans towards the atmospheric and soulful side of his productions as he adds a rework of his own. Very lush atmosphere layers we have for the Christoph Kardek remix. Not just that, Kardek also surprises the listeners with something unexpected yet something brilliant— for that, well you just have to listen to find out!
