Tom Fall & Something Good- Reflections

Finnish producers are at it again! We kick off with a magical tune from Tom Fall and Something Good, "Reflections"-- a proud release from Silk Royal Records! Great surprises are also on their way thanks to remixes from A-list producers, Sundriver and Embliss.

Tom Fallenius, aka Tom Fall may be a new name here on Soundscapes, but he is no newbie in the scene. His track, "Cubic"first appeared on the second installment of the Anjunadeep mixed series and was early on released under Jaytech's Anjunadeep:02 Sampler. If you think "Reflections" is Tom's debut appearance on the label, then you are mistaken. He once took remix duties for Mango's highly-acclaimed release, "Good Morning Track" together with top-notched producers, Sunn Jellie and Sundriver.

Something Good, on the other hand, is already a frequent feature here on Soundscapes. We have been closely following Karolus and Otto's releases since their debut appearance on Nellie Recordings. Aside from which, it was in our exclusive interview with SG that we had been given a hint on this huge release with Mr. Fallenius.

Reflections (Original Mix)

According to Something Good's interview in HouseMusicEssentials, "Reflections" is the very first brainchild of the duo, and was created sometime a year ago. In the process, Tom Fall decided to remix the track for SG. After which, the duo realized that the original piece sounded a bit dated that is why after brainstorming for ideas among the three producers, they all decided to make it a collaboration.

As a whole, the track itself is one driving progressive house piece with explosive kicks to it. However, unlike the recent releases from Something Good and Tom Fall, "Reflections" caters a tranquil Asian-like ambiance. Moreover, listen to the piano climax and you will feel the imprinted Something Good vibe. Tom Fall's sound, on the contrary, is quite evident in the arpeggios. Very mind-levitating and climactic, this original version of "Reflections" is indeed a Finnish masterpiece.

Reflections (Sundriver Remix)

Polish producer, Przemyslaw Pawelski takes remix duties for "Reflections" under the guise Sundriver. His sound-- a melting pot of warm atmosphere and mystic progressive trance melodies-- appears once again on Silk. With this, the Sundriver remix is one beautiful piece that would effortlessly appeal to its listener's emotions.

Reflections (Embliss Remix)

For the closing track of the release, we get to hear a fine remix from Tim Brandwijk, aka. Embliss. Like Sundriver, Embliss is also a familiar face on the label.

The Embliss remix kicks off with echoing vocalesque samples, topped off with a laid-back sound and a lush atmosphere-- another quality release from Tim Brandwijk himself!

Claes Rosen- Grenadines

It's been a while since we last heard from the "man of melodies", Claes Rosen. Well, it may have been quite a wait, but with his latest release on Silk Music, "Grenadines"-- the wait was surely worth it! In addition, accompanying Rosen's release are remixes from fellow progressive house producers, B.O.N.G. and Oleg Izergin.

Grenadines (Original Mix)

We know it's a Claes craft when we hear it! For this one, we have our ears feast on his ever-groovy basslines, his chill and poignant piano climax, and not to mention, his echoing leads similar to the ones in "Delirious". Always having ear for very melodic tracks, Claes Rosen provides us with another delightful sunny day soundtrack-- "Grenadines".

Grenadines (B.O.N.G. Remix)

Argentine producer, Juan Carlos Villaba, or simply put B.O.N.G. is one of the most-sought progressive house producers this year! His grounding basslines and warm atmosphere always find a place to belong to.

Grenadines (Oleg Izergin Remix)

A Swedish, an Argentine, and for the third and last artist on the roster, we have a Ukrainian producer. Claes is known for his melodies, Oleg, on the flipside, is known for his very lush and atmospheric sound. Taking "Grenadines" to higher ground, Izergin gives the release package a heightened close!

It's good to see producers make a come-back with fresh releases! Claes, B.O.N.G., and Oleg Izergin have once appeared on Soundscapes, and having them once again is of great pleasure!

Aeron Aether- Synthanelia

It was just a couple of days ago when Hungarian producer, Aeron Aether released his latest single on Silk Digital, Synthanelia. For first-time readers, Aeron Aether is a producer dedicated to giving the listeners quality progressive tunes wrapped in a lush atmosphere. Aside from which, he also is the man behind Arrival Records, a sub-label of Silk Music driven to releasing only the most delicate and most melodic progressive house anthems. To complete this package from Aeron, the Finnish duo, Something Good and fellow Hungarian artist, Elfsong also contribute unique remixes.

Synthanelia (Original Mix)

Synthanelia, the original mix, provides dense-sounding groovy basslines and a very dreamy atmosphere. Also, the climax of this track is something you do not want to miss, especially if you are a fan of uplifting progressive melodies. Elfsong digs deeper with his remix on Synthanelia. Elfsong and Aeron Aether have collaborated numerous times in the past as they released tracks from label to label. This time around, Elfsong hooks up the track with powerful driving basswork as well as richer and thicker atmospheric pads. As expected, the Elfsong remix is one pounding tune!

Karolus Viitala and Otto Yliperttula are definitely on streak this season! Stepping their best foot forward once again, Something Good made Synthanelia as one of their own. SG's trademark delightful melodies finally meet the sacred sounds of Silk-- good stuff once again!

B.O.N.G.- Back to Floripa

Summer is just around the corner, and my system, once again, starts to yearn for warm, sun-drenched melodies to stimulate and indulge.


As I allowed my senses to carefully pick tracks out there, I stumbled upon B.O.N.G.’s Back to Floripa track. Actually, Argentina’s talent is not a new name to me; Juan Carlos Villalba’s tracks have been made familiar to me through frequent appearance on various progressive house portals. Aside from that, it was in Jaytech’s music podcast where I first heard and appreciated his sound. Released under the humble and promising Silk Digital Records, it is a pleasure to review B.O.N.G. - Back to Floripa (Original Mix).


Back to Floripa is a melting pot of a minimal version of Dinka’s sound and a denser-sounding Mango. Aside from its stubby basslines, a very melodious and soothing riff brush the track. Surprisingly, Floripa is also an atmospheric track— its subtle echoes add more essence to it. Simple—yes, once again, I use this word to describe something exploding with bliss and crisp.


It’s not yet summer, like what I have said, but I can already imagine my buddies and me on a Sunday morning driving from coast to coast while listening and chilling with this wonderful record from B.O.N.G.
