Marcus Schossow pres. 1985- London/ 1985 EP

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Marcus Schossow finally makes his debut on Anjunadeep under the mysterious guise 1985. Being an electro-trance gourmand that he is, Schossow has perfected the concoction for lethal, gut-grinding, electronic dance music, and this two-track EP signals his docking on Anjunadeep shores. By the way, London first appeared on Anjunadeep 02, so be sure to check that out too!

London
Atmospheric and dreamy, London is a treat to aficionados out there who like their Schossow tracks served mild. Albeit that, this track perfectly fits Schossow's other tunes from his debut album, Outside the Box because of its composition. Let the music take control...

1985
No, this is not Ernesto and Bastian's Thrill, this is Marcus Schossow's 1985. (If you're a trancehead, you'll understand what I am saying.) Anyway, grounding basslines are on this track-- something I have been expecting (and enjoying) from Schossow's tunes lately. Aside from that, 1985 also has nocturnal synths flying around, and I like it. Mean and straightforward melodies with a crazy solo, 1985 is one stomping piece fastidious listeners would worship.

Marcus Schossow takes progressive house music to the next level through his alter-ego, 1985.

Marcus Schossow- My Star

Friday, February 5, 2010

It was September of 2009 when Marcus Schossow released his debut album entitled, Outside the Box under his very own label, Tone Diary Holland. As time passed, I started to have some personal favorite tracks from the album itself, and to share one of them, here's My Star, probably the smashing supernova of the whole album.

A vocal hook that kinda goes, "I wonder where you are, searching for a star," initiates the track. Compared to the other Schossow banger tracks like his remix on La Guitarra and his original track, Beast, My Star is more of the melting pot of his exquisite music tastes that range from tech-like and electro-influenced banging tunes to trance-edged progressive melodies.

Everything incorporated in this single track paints a bigger picture, and for me, that picture is somewhere up there in the sky. However, albeit painting its own picture, My Star also complements the other fourteen tracks of the album, which also forms a bigger scene as a whole.

Marcus Schossow- The Opener

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Sometime September, Swedish Tech Trance/ Electronic Trance icon Marcus Schossow just released his debut album entitled Outside the Box, which spawned The Opener.

Before I enumerate the contributions he had made to the electronic dance world, let me tell you some things about this guy. First, he's Swedish. Next up, he started crushing dance floors at the age of fifteen. Finally, Marcus Schossow has a mind of a true artist.

This guy has a lengthy list of ice-cold melodies and intensely-electrifying riffs which have been long introduced to mankind some of which are Chase My Rabbit, Mr. White, Galandia, and Swedish Beatballs. Schossow also has astonishing remixes on Angello and Ingrosso's Umbrella, Orjan Nilsen's La Guitarra, Dakota's Roxy 84, and more.

With the mind of a genius dedicated to infinitely-many sound innovations, Schossow shall demonstrate to you the way of a true artist...
